How to wash The Merino Wool T-Shirt
• In general it is best to wash wool as less as possible. Unlike other materials, pure merino wool doesn't retain odors and stays fresh without washing. Just air them out after every wear for about 2 days. After this, they are as good as new.
• If washing is needed, we use an ecological detergent for delicates. We urge you to not use softener, bleach or chemical detergents.
• For machine wash, we use the wool program at 30°C (90°F) and low cycle (max. 800-1.000 turns).
• Wash your garments (not only wool) turned inside out and with similar colors to preserve the color depth and avoid rub off.
• To avoid creases, wash on low cycle and give the garment a careful shake after wash.
• We recommend drying your Merino Wool T-Shirts flat on a towel on fresh air. Avoid drying it in direct sun, as this fades out the colors more quickly. We ourselves mostly hang it dry (and so far it hasn't harmed the fabrics or messed up its shape). If necessary, carefully stretch it back to its shape before drying. Little creases and wrinkles will wear off.

• Our boxer briefs contain 3% elastane and can therefore shed tiny bits of plastic when washed. We recommend using a Guppyfriend or similar laundry bag that prevents microplastics from being washed out into the washing water. This way you protect our environment and our drinking water. Thank you!

Our Professional Care Tips
• When ironing, always turn the garment inside out and moisten the t-shirt with a little water before gently ironing it. Do Iron with low temperature – 105°C (220°F)
• Do not use fabric softener. It will coat the wool fibers and blocks their natural ability to wick moisture, prevent odor and regulate your body's skin temperature.
• If you experience stains, always try to treat them on the spot and as quickly as possible as they might set into the fabric over time. Remove all stains, except grease or fat, with cold water (wine, coffee, grass, fruit, and vegetables). For an initial removal, soak the stain in water and blot the stain. Try not to rub because the stain will move deeper into the fabric.
• Its best to store your merino wool t-shirt folded in your wardrobe. Hanging knitted wool fabrics can stretch the fibers and affect the length and shape of your garment. Store it in a dry and cool place and avoid direct sunlight to preserve the colors.
• If your shirt is dusty, try brushing the dust off with your hand or use a very soft clothes brush. Dust rolls with glue can loosen small hairs from the fabric and support pilling.
• Put some cedar wood pieces in the closet with your wool garments or any other fragrances (lavender, dry lemon peel, etc.) that clothes moth don't like (more tips on how to prevent moths can be found here).
• Don't worry, if your t-shirt shows a little pilling (little hairy balls on the surface). It is totally normal with any pure wool garment and mostly occurs in the very beginning, when the item is new and little fibers loose out of the fabric. To reduce the risk always wash your merino shirts inside out and be careful with surface friction, while wearing. Pilling easily washes and wears off over time. If pills are visible due to heavy use, you can shave them off with an electric pilling shaver. Used right, it will not damage the fabric, and your garment will look like new.
